Put in a new 3-row champion radiator and flowcooler water pump with a 180deg thermostat these past couple days. will post complete step by step thread on this later, but here are a few pics. will give the system a flush tomorrow and hopefully this will make her run cooler.

Finally took the XJ out to test it with some decent wheeling. Went to Creekside Edge and had a blast
Cooling System Upgrade worked excellent, never went above 200 and was wheelin hard. Hwy Temp was dead constant at 180, trail temp was around 185-190.
Suspensions worked wonders and the mickeys never clogged up, and luckily i didn't get stuck
Here are some photos for enjoyment. Can't wait to go again and get better pics

A few more pics. There was another XJ in the group who did great as well. I think we were the ballsiest of the group. He was even ballsier than me.....so he got stuck one more time than me (that makes 1 for him, heheh) in the deep hole. after i saw that he didnt make it i decided to go around

Thanks Vick718
They are some projector headlights off ebay, around 30 bucks, and run with and H3 bulb I believe. But they also have a secondary bulb on the bottom (came as blue, but I switched it to green, you can put whatever color you want in there). They also have a halo on them that is blueish but I didn't like it, so I didn't connect it.
I wired mine into my front turn signals to come on when I put my drl's on, but you could put them on a sepereate switch as well (which I'm thinkin of doin). Just for show though cause they are illegal to run on the road

so i decided after some long thinking (and a little bit of damage on the trail test at creekside) to trim my fenders.
only trimmed the front so far as i am still thinking on what to do in the rear (with the pinch seam & all). any advise or pointers are welcomed on what to do with the rear, but here are some pics of what the front looks like now (i decided to keep the angled lip on the fender, and put some door trim on it)

So after installing the high flow air filter, figured instead of flowing mass amounts of hot air, why not make a shield to keep it cool. made from 16ga steel to reflect the heat well, doubt i'll notice a difference, but at least it will deflect mud / water splash coming up

so my buddy finally let me borrow his welder, did some practicing on my old brackets, then welded my axle tubes to the housings on the 8.8 i'm building up
(well only had time for one side today)
still have to develop my technique, but as of now i just globbed a bunch, then ground it down for appearance.
after more practice, the shock mounts and leaf perches are next!

so i was able to weld the other axle tube today, looked a lot better now that i have the hang of welding (and an auto dimming mask helped....no guessing where i'm starting at now.....) obviously still more to learn, but i think i may tackle the perches and shock mounts this weekend
