You're doing really nice work my friend.

I can't believe how expensive XJ's are in other parts of the country. You can find decent ones in Ohio for $1000-$2000 all day long. I see running XJ's with floorboards (lol) and everything for $700-$800 all the time. $3500 would get you a low mile, highly modded XJ here.

Was on the fence with maybe selling it. Havent really done much. For whatever reason I lost the drive to work on it. Maybe the bug will catch me again and Ill end up keeping it. We'll see. Havent driven it pretty much all summer.

And as a side note, last summer I had added the Smittybuilt seat cover with molle panel and pouches. What an epic piece of S**t that turned out to be!! 1 year is all it took to dry rot all the straps and the damn thing fell apart. What a waste of money that was.

Awesome build! It sucks that you had to fix the head gasket that quickly but its some great experience to put under the belt.

I'd love to know more about your hood vents, not sure if you have any pictures of that process or not, but what exactly you made them from, how you prepped it, and also, do you have drain pans underneath?? How do you keep water out of your engine bay when it rains or when wheeling? That has always been the biggest issue for me.
