only got to work on it for a small amount of time, but I got everything done except the alt. we worked on it some, but we ran into a problem with hood clearance and had to start over.
everything needs cleaned again, but it looks pretty good.

So I wanted to clean up my engine bay like they do for used cars at the dealership, but don't want to pay a fortune for them to do it.... How do you clean up your engine bay and freshen up all the old plastics and rubber?

I have a pressure washer that I use really hot water with. along with engine degreaser.
I got the valve cover installed, with allen head bolts, they look well and go with the engine bay.

do you guys have any idea on how to remove the CCVs from the valve cover?
I messed around with the vac system, CCV system, and tinkered more with the alt relocation. I found a catch can, hopefully the deal goes through.
I also found a few sets of street wheels for the jeep. Im balancing trying to get the best deal, along with trying to sell the ones I lready have.

but yes so do I. I have an outstanding record with hundreds of online transactions, and I have only been screwed like half a time. dude took advantage of me being trusting, and didnt pay me until I shipped some merchandise. but he didnt know where exactly I shipped it to (freight), so I didnt tell him until I got at least half the money, and then I never heard from him again. I still broke even, so I didnt lose out, other than that I have had a pretty good track record.

If the grommets are really old in the VC, like mine were, you have to cut them out. They feel like plastic at first, being so hard, but a sharp knife will go through them. Be careful not to get too much crap past the baffles underneath and into the valvetrain. I broke the elbows into a few pieces trying to pull them out.

The front and rear grommets are the same. It's on their website. You can clean the elbows out, but they're a ***** to uninstall. Good luck not breaking them lol.

well I think I figured out the best way to get the elbows on and off, I just heated em a tad with the heat gun and they slide right out. so I got the CCVs done, the powersteering all put back in place, then bay cleaned back up a little more. and the alt worked on. I have to go back to the parts store in the morning, and hopefully its mounted tomorrow.
with now im pretty sure the only things im missing are
finish alt mount
find belt that fits
make sure there are any electrical issues
and I should be running.
not sure which should show up better.
