Jeep did very well at uwharrie. Walked up any line I put it on. At the top of Daniel I took the far right line and went up it without even spinning tire, but there was a Comanche on iroks hoping and spinning behind me. The ko2s actually hook pretty well.

Fixed the broken tail light, a flickering light in the defrost switch, painted the cb antenna mount since it was easy to get to with the tail light off, and cleaned the interior up some. Then lost the front passenger flare on the highway (I think) and the rear passenger flare because I hit a cone (being stupid and didn’t think driving over it would do anything) broke every exhaust hanger, have a huge exhaust leak (because of the hanger on the crossmember ripping out), Evap leak, stalls occasionally offroad, either thermostat or temperature sensor issues (gauge jumps up and down), and I still never found out what my driveline vibe was caused by so I vibe at highway speeds. She’s a basket case right now, but I still plan to drive her to Alabama on the 17th to wheel at choccolocco even with it being a mess.Highschool budget 1999 xj build-photo331.jpgHighschool budget 1999 xj build-photo517.jpg

You are sure good at breaking stuff! If you need some more flare, take my old ones. I am about ready to throw them out. White flares on a green Jeep could be the new fashion...

Mine are bedlined, so I could throw Berliner on any flares and they’d work. I think someone in the club still has their flares, if I can’t get one soon though I’ll let you know.

Sounds good! I will try to not throw them out for a few more weeks then.

with the unfortunate exhaust events I've had, I think I may purchase a new front pipe and a new high flow cat then weld it all up. Does anyone know where I could get a mandrel bent front pipe without the dent in it? Also, would like a high flow cat that won't throw a CEL. Any suggestions are welcome.

Looking to possibly do a sleeve kit and add c gussets to the dana 30 since I plan to keep it under the jeep for the foreseeable future. I guess I could add a truss to it, but figured sleeves are good enough. Not sure yet what route to take. Probably going to get the artec ota track bar mount and drop my steering under the pitman arm for flatter angles. Kinda open to all suggestions or tips or whatever.

Just replaced the temp sensor and then was giving it a once over while I was out there. It’s already gone through another heim in the steering and the drag link is sitting on the tie rod. Highschool budget 1999 xj build-photo195.jpg the way the steering is designed I feel like it’s going to constantly eat through heims since there’s so much weight hanging forward with the drag link wearing out the edges of the heims.

Well I went back out for another look and started looking closer at the steering and something gave about 1/4” or so and the wheel contacted the bolt for the steering for at least one full revolution. Highschool budget 1999 xj build-photo763.jpg I’m not sure if this thing is going to make it to chocco at this rate...

Maybe it's cause I don't have a bend in my drag link but my heims are solid still after a year... also I just ordered IROs C Gusset kit so i'll let you know how they work out.

I think that’s is the problem with them.
