Default The Green Bastard Build

Hey guys Ive had my cherokee for a while but am fairly new to the site. Figured I'd start a build thread as I have big plans for it this year and I love posting photos. Im up in Ontario as well. The Jeep is a 1995 2 door, 5 speed, with a few goodies on it. Its rolling on 33's with a tired 5" lift. I beat the **** out of it with this setup and need more haha.

When it was in nice-ish shape

And a few wheeling pics

My original plan was to turn it into more of an expedition style rig, but I have veered away from that aspect. I am going 1 tons and 40's on it and there isnt too many ways to make that economical. I have a set of d60's from an uncles old ford, so the build will start around them.

Id like to keep them full width, rear is going to be 4 linked and true 3 link up front, I am going to fab bumpers, as well as sliders, and tie in an exo cage. Once I am done school in January I will finally have some time and money to dispose of. This is my first build where I am not just bolting **** on so it is going to be a huge learning curve.

Cheers, Zack

Looks good as it is already, I'll be keeping an eye out for when the 40s and such starts happening.

On another note, have you seen The Trailer Park Boys before? The name just reminds me of Bubbles "The Green Bastard, from parts unknown"

Thanks buddy and ya, Im a big trailer park boys fan haha.

Its been fun wheeling it like this but it has its limitations. Its great in the mud but on technical trails it suffers. Ive got a lsd in the 35, but its a c-clip and I went through three shafts this summer. I need a locked front bad, so Im waiting for the 60, not gonna invest any cash in the current axles.

Little update. I absolutely wrecked my rad and blew a nice sized hole through it, and pulled a week old rad off my buddies 88 parts cherocar. Turns out the rad is a different size, it was a little thicker and shorter length. Took a bit of massaging to get it to fit in the 95 front end, and I had to cut out my entire A/C setup which was a long time coming as it was not charged and I had no intentions of ever using it. At the same time I also replaced the battery and alternator and a few other little things. Got her out wheeling as we are having some crazy weather up here in Ontario!

My build plans have taken another turn. I have a 69 mopar 318 that is rebuilt and dynoe'd at 330 hp to the wheels that I can essentially get for free from a family friend. He put a 408 stroker in his dart and has no use for the motor. Hes trying to convince me to frame the xj and run the 318. I have a couple more weeks to sleep on it before I start tearing this thing up, but what do you guys think?

I am pretty stoked I can finally start to build this thing as its coming off the road now. I did some work for a buddy and picked up a free silverado. Long box, 4x4, 5.3, should hopefully make a decent daily once the rockers are cleaned up.

I'll f@%kin unload one on ya!

Jeep looks great and your build plans sound badass. Can't wait to see some progress.

On the topic of TPB, this was me on Halloween... The Green Bastard Build-image-3673171918.jpg
