Default Time with my boy build.

Been reading a lot of info on these Jeeps and finally decided what to do.Start cheapest first and include my kids.I am bone stock,we decided today was the day to ditch the flares and cut and bend.

No turning back now.

Turned out nice.Going to hit it with a grinder, little smoothing, and repaint.Next up we are thinking Front bumper, more cut and bend.Lift will come in time.I just want to build something with my boy.No hurry here. Thanks for all the good write ups though. If I had any skills I'd write one.

I grew up with a dad that put me to work on everything he did.I appreciate it now and know I need to do the same for my son.I learned a lot hanging out in the garage.
My boy is 6 and is quite a handy helper. You tell him a 1/2" drive deepwell 15mm,you get it,and read a tape down to 1/8ths.He is very smart and I am very proud. He's already telling me about the red jeep he's gonna get,and how we are gonna work on it.It brings it all back for me,great times for sure.
Thank god for this site,we spend a lot of time on here reading and planning.I don't say much, but you guys on here have got some nice rides and have inspired me to make mine more than a work truck.

Let me tell ya im 16 and wish I someone had helped me learn to work on cars at an early age. But due to my father's illness he just couldn't do it. But now im learning by teaching myself and reading and going to school. Im sure your son will think back on these times and thank you.
