What if tie rod was placed UTK, and same hole as draglink. Would that clear the coil by going below coil bucket?
8 gallon tank!? Guess you plan on using pneumatic wrenches?

I have three tanks, 1 gal, 2 gal, and 8 gal. Lol. Let's see what works.

If I put it UTK, it may clear passenger coil but it still will hit the diff cover and probably drivers side coil bucket

Had an hour to myself tonight so I went and changed the rear axle diff cover.

Now it matches the front.

Nice... looks like the Olympic 4x4 one that QT sells. Thinking about making one myself that is similar to this, but haven't made up my mind on whether or not it's really what I want to do.

yes you are correct. It's Olympic. It's only for temporary until I have time to build my own. What I want is horizontal shelf bolting on the walls, not the floor. Unless I have a cage then the shelf ll be connected to the c and d pillars

Well, if that's the case, you could always just modify that one.

Today was a good day outside. Grabbed the opportunity to finish the high steer (moving the track bar mount upwards) and install the Boostwerks steering brace. Black Phoenix-image-728843547.jpg Black Phoenix-image-503671406.jpg Black Phoenix-image-158154106.jpg Black Phoenix-image-2940126011.jpg

Haha I think I still have some bump steer but nothing serious... Whenever going over bumps, it would push my steering wheel. I'm actually considering putting a stabilizer.

I also guess the reman steering gear box I put on, may be bad. Idk. It's sorta annoying to drive on the roads.

Nah, that's not bump steer. That's just steering wheel feedback. Bumpsteer is when, the tracbar and drag link aren't parallel to each other which cause the wheels to turn to the right the farther down the axle droops, all the while the steering wheel is straight.

I like that steering brace. A bit on the pricey side though. Are those recovery points big enough for a 5/8" shackle? Do they interfere with any aftermarket bumpers/unibody bracing kits that you know of?

sorry for not replying sooner. If JCR still make the unibody tie in brackets then yes this will interfere with the steering brace.

When I built my bumper, I mostly based it on JCR Offroad's bumper (I forgot which model). In doing so, I also copied their unibody bracing brackets which utilizes the front sway bar mounting points.

Since the steering brace ALSO use the sway bar mounting points, it started to overlap. I had to grind away & elogonate the holes on the steering brace to make up for the thickness of the unibody bracing. Then I had to add washers on the front mounting points of the steering brace since the unibody bracing is 1/4" thick. Overall I was able to make everything work. I can't say about other people and their rigs.

Few weekends ago, I went over to Jake's (my friend) and pulled the rear axle apart. It needed new wheel bearings (only because the axle seals were leaking), new axle seals, new wheel cylinders, and brake hardware along with shoes.

Took us 4 hours to do everything. (Cut the bearings off the axle shafts, pull everything out and reinstalled the axle seals and pressed in the new bearings & collars.

(When I did the rear axle swap, I weren't able to bleed the rear brakes because the bleeder screws were rusted to the cylinders and I didn't wanted to risk breaking anything, so I just gravity-bled the rear set up). That always bothered me so that's the reason why we went ahead and replaced the wheel cylinders so we ca properly bleed the rear brakes. Since we already have everything apart, why not replace the rear brake shoes and hardware, right?

I also had the cracked windshield replaced.
Only thing left to do is get it inspected and finish the OBA.
