I already had a set of rear stiffeners that I bought couple years ago. So I probably would either sell or trade this one for some awesome parts. Lol.

Wish I wasn't so far away. I'm make an offer and come pick 'em up. Shipping would kill that deal at this distance though.

lucky ***.... you got the stiffeners used too? What's making you want to get rid of the box? Just more room under the hood? I'm planning on ditching my K&N for the box and cowl snorkel due to all the water in FL... the spectres and THORs aren't available anymore unless you find 'em used like you did... and I could make one myself, but from what I've seen, it will be a PITA every time you want to change or service the filter - having to remove the wiper cowl. d'oh!
I want more room in the compartment. I always wanted to build a steel box and mount it there where the air box is, and put meat in there and have it cook while I'm out wheeling all day. I got access to plenty of stainless steel and the box ll be completely sealed. I still would be wrapping the meat with foil before putting in the box too.
It ll also be able to QD (quickly disconnected) from the bay when I don't need it. The jeep is standing high (the top of the header panel is as high as my chest.) so with the empty space being there, it's easier to just stand there where the air box was. And I can just work on the engine if I need to.

lol. If u see the update on the other thread, I had no problem getting the tank out. It only took me 1 hour to change the fuel pump out. It is not that hard to do it again but I don't really have the time for that. Lol.

oh I forgot to reply about why I want to ditch the factory air box.

Last Sunday I finally had a rare opportunity to have a whole day to myself and I went ahead and put on the high steer knuckles, along with spicer ball joints, Yukon chromoly shafts, rebuilt the hubs with new bearings and seals. Oh and put on new brake pads at the same time...

The panhard mount on axle need to be moved upwards to match the drag link angle.
I think the high steer arms on the knuckles are too short because I can't get full turning radius. The tie rod keep hitting the coils.
This Sunday I ll have another day to myself. I'm gonna move the mount up and hopefully have time to install the Boostwerks steering brace.

Those cargo racks are neat, I tried one but due to its elevation being in the middle I could not fit stuff I needed to. Like air compressor and carpet tools, crab buckets, kids bike, etc. Ditched it for the lower profile cargo box/false floor.

it's heim steering. I don't think they make offset heims.
However if they in fact do make them, I'm not sure how that ll work because on the passenger side arm, the drag link get bolted in the front hole and the tie rod get bolted in the second hole which is behind the first. So both heims may interfere. I read about trying different lengths of steering arms so I ll have to look into that.
I agree about the rack sitting too high. I needed more room when I go to Rausch because I eventually would want to run 8 gallon tank for the OBA, that ll be mounted on top of the rack. The spare 35" tire ll go under it along with a jack and my toolbox.
