Ah... Never heard anyone tell me their RCV's helped when steering over running U joints in a non full hydro set up. Standard chromo shafts with full circle clip joints gets my vote all day.

I ll look into that. I just wasn't sure if u joints would still break while in low range on the doubler. Lol.

I'd be more worried about the 300/231 doubler than I would the U joints.

I ll look into the chromoly shafts and do some research on them before my Xmas bonus comes in.

Just ordered two 5-760x joints on Amazon for $60 shipped. I picked up a couple of spare stub shafts from a Naxja member. Gonna do the full circle clips on both sides. It ll do for temporary until I get chromoly shafts. (Thanks Will for pointing me into that direction).

I started on the rear bumper build recently. So far I drilled and did stuff on pieces. Nothing too crazy happening now, ha.

Got a wheeling trip on November 7th weekend, I'm hoping to have both projects completed by then.

Finally had time to notch the 2x4 tubing. Black Phoenix-image-890354511.jpg

Finally started out on 2x6 and laid out where I wanted stuff to be at. I cut slots out on both sides of 2x6 for the shackle plates to pass though to help tie in better.

I will have to order some full circle retaining rings tomorrow. Hopefully to have the joints replaced this Sunday.

I've got the 760s in my front 44 running 38s with no issues so far. Full circle clips are a must though.

Naxja invited me to go wheel with them on November 11th. So I went. Boy I had fun!

Bent steering
Bent passenger leaf pack
Blown rear passenger shock
Bent front driveshaft
My rear flares are crumpled
Driver's side of jeep are scratched from side swiping a tree
Dented passenger fender from hitting a tree Passenger side quarter panel is pushed in slightly from bouncing on a tree
Dented gas skid plate

I think there's couple of videos, I ll post when I find it.

I REALLY need to finish the oba so I can actually use the front locker, there's some spots at Rausch where it would have helped me, but I got through nevertheless.

I landed the rear bumper on the rocks few times, it held up really well. I'm pleased with the overall design.

Here's the videos

So I got Boostwerks Engineering's "Ultimate Steering Brace". It sure look beefy. Can't wait to install it.

Christmas bonus is coming up soon. I'm thinking about getting chromoly shafts for the front, and do the high steer knuckles at the same time.
