That's one reason why I'm hesitant to do just that...but if it's all solid enough, it should be okay. If I could find a way to reuse the rubber somehow, and just shorten it up, that would work for me. Heck, maybe I'll get the angle grinder out today and see what I can do.

I ll probably end up going UTK just for the heck of it. Lol
If I do OTK I have plenty of room on the axle for the track bar because I removed the passenger upper mount.

Best pic ive got of the steering.
You can always use an FSJ Pittman armpits flat so it'll raise that side of the draglink.
in conjunction with a lower than stock track bar mount the angles actually come really close to parallel with out an OTA trac bar mount. This it what I plan to do with the wj OTK steering.

I read about someone using the draglink from a right hand drive XJ. It was a direct fit OTK using a tapered insert. Can find them on postal jeeps.

Go wj knuckles. A little more pricey than a near bolt in 1 ton set up, but you get cross over steering and brakes that actually work well, can be done for 4-700$ totally worth it in my book

If I can find one that I can use some piece of metal with, sure. I don't know about you guys, but I can't find the hanger "rods" that exhaust shops use *anywhere*. Advance Auto doesn't carry them, nor Autozone. NAPA has to special order ones in. I'll probably just make my own, seems easier! That small rubber thing on the left looks good. Sorry for jacking your buid Neal

Yea stock seems fine, until its on the lift with the suspension drooped and the binding can be witnessed. Additional binding at droop when turning right, draglink/tierod knuckle hits coil bucket/swaybar mount. IRO suggested I add some bend in the draglink (stock).
The Currie steering was a big improvement for me but it's still poor geometry.
