Its good to be back.
I was eating pizza, putting together my new tool chest, and cleaning my garage and the rotten door was staring and laughing at me.

At first I kind of found this to be iffy but im glad I took the time to go through the whole build so far. I'm really liking this and cant wait to see some more updates on it, some awesome fab skills and work done here.

Alrighty. Do you all remember that bumper I had picked up a while back?
Well **** has hit the fan with my housing situation, so basically I have no idea when our landlord will get her house foreclosed upon (and it will happen) and we will lose our lease. So I am doing as much "fab" work as I can so if I have to move again, at least all the big stuff will be finished.
So I shaped the bumper and fabbed up the mounts today after work.
I started by centering it, taking 57 measurements as I to make sure the horns were centered and they weren't centered on the Jeep grill AND the bumper (if that makes sense). So I cut 4.5" from centre off the passenger side, and 2.5" from center off the drivers.

Then just using 1x3x.125 tubing, I cut, bent and welded it up. I also used some tabs left from my shock mounts that were already drilled and perfect for it. They are 1/4" plate.

Welded them up.

A matching pair.

The mounts bolt to the frame and will be welded to the original brackets on the back of the bumper.
