Build is looking good man. Clean rig and nice upgrades so far. I will be doing the same rocker style sliders on mine very soon. I admire you back east guys and you're wheeling, seems like instead of rock crawling you go tree smashing. We don't usually have to deal with the tree problem in my neck of the woods. Seems like it sure takes a toll on sheet metal. Keep up the good work.

I like that term "tree smashing" and thanks. Ya narrow trails do a number on the rear quarters. My last rig was a full size Bronco and was big. It resembled a rasin from the doors back within a couple years of wheeling it. The xjs seem to fit a little better.

So figured it was nice enough to prime the inside of my rockers today. Found more rust issues that needed attention. Prepped it (removed the bed liner form door sills and pinch seem) to install rocker on pass side and hope to do so next week. Also primmed tank skid. I'll be fabbing up some nut strips for that too.

Sooooooo, not much progress. Got the tank skid painted hammertone to mach bumpers. Now I need brakes, so looking for ZJ rear disc set up to get rid of drums. Starting to really need some new rubber. Would like to find a new hood too. Maybe I'll go to the garage to finish rockers. Never mind I'm out of wire. No extra cash sucks.

Got a chance to sand down the roof and fix the surface rust issue. Testing the look of desert tan. I like it but seems to be growing in popularity. Reinstalled rack till I make my mind up. Really did this to try to control the growing amount of rust forming.
Finished drivers rocker and ready to install them too.

Ok the tube is ready to be installed on the pass side. Capped it yesterday morning. Also practiced more, burning together old rocker material and scrap 3/16s. The weld on the left is with a pot of coffee in my system and the one on the right I have adjusted to work with my uncontroled shaking
. Still have to clean up the inside of the rocker too. I think I may through a coat of POR15 on the inside before installing the tubing. MY WELDING SUCKS this is understood, but connot wait any longer for install. I've come to accept I will have a rig that shows my progression in my welds.

Took advantage of a Belle Tire sale last Sunday. Went with a set of Duratracks. Staying with 33's though. The plan was a set of 34s or 35s but no funds for gears. So far so good. I'll post some pics tomarrow. Also picked up a ZJ rear axle. Disc brake swap next project. Saving for long arms too.

Anyhow I finished the rocker install, Got a set of Dura tracs, and plan on relocating the lower rear shock mounts ( Zone kit). Still looking to upgrade to long arms. Toss up between the Rock krawler four link or Iron rock kit. Hope to update with pics soon.

Washed it yesterday and found, come spring I have some serious rust to fix. Any suggestions on how to fix the area under the rear cargos windows. How to remove the window without breaking it? Any links or how -to's on this? Any bodymen out there with a fix? I'll also be painting it now too so not looking for a quick fix . Thanks.
