The jy has it listed for a little over $200 for an axle assembly. Thats most of the rest of my jeep fund. I still need to fix the rust issues on the roof and my quarter panels. Ive never planned on an axle swap. I know this d44 is super awesome and everyone loves them but i seriously hadnt planned on it. Im sure i could always pull it myself and then sell it.....seriously, what do i use the 44 for?

I would pull it and sell it. I'm a big fan of the 29 spline C8.25 properly built. Do you ever plan on running anything bigger than 35s? How are you with the skinny pedal when offroading?

Never been offroading O.O my current suspension is dangerous. My 4.5 lift is enroute. I have d30 c8.25 29 spline. I plan on aussie lockers for both. Jeep is my dd so if anything 33s at best. May not go that far. The money to regear is pretty expensive. Yeah i will probably make more than the 200 in return if i sell the 44. Gonna try and see if the jy is open tomorrow. Probably not 'cuz its easter but its worth a shot.

Tried the $5 clamp to get the u joints out of the shaft...that worked until this happened.

So I figured since im going to spend money on something for u joints I should get the press instead of a vise since those can break doing it.

Unfortunately when everything is put together the dam jack wasnt pointing straight. EVERYTHING was level and if I adjust to make the jack straight the angles will be off. The picture i took was with thibgs adjusted somewhat already. Am I missing something?

Thanks. Yeah I never planned on a cut and fold, but it looks like im gonna have to. I have some bondo for the cargo corners and a buddy knows a guy so I just need to grab the sheet metal for the roof. I got a riveter so I can put some metal on the quarters.

Looking good bud, nice score on the rear. That's one serious joint press.

Yeah, im debating returning it. I dont know what else its good for besides u joints, log splitting and crushing cans. My dad said hed give me his old vise that is pretty solid. I just dont want to break it like that c clamp.

After how amazingly easy that u joint came out with the press, im keeping it. It also helped me take apart the hi-lift for wire wheel and painting. The ups truck brought me my new joints and center yoke as well as longer YJ brake lines.....and a rear brake line for.....a hot wheel? They got the wrong part number i can see so im going to have to call autozone.

Fixed the press.

The full size spare that came with the jeep in there.

Went out and swapped the wrong brake line at autozone no problem. Got my new bolts for the leaf springs from Jack-It. Metric 10.9. They certainly feel heavy.
