I ripped mine all apart. The center sleeve came out by hand with a chunk of rubber when I was done with them.
Looks like gears are next for me. Front axle is sloppy...
Then I'm building a rear bumper, then real replacement sliders

Rustys coils ftw. Super soft..and mine never sagged.
I vote 3" and 33s. Unless you have the money for the stuff you'll break on 35s
With some good driving you'll go plenty of places on 33s.
With my lack of concern for body damage on my last XJ I coils take it nearly everywhere my previous XJ on 35s had gone. Not quite as easy..but still doable.

Travis, you free any day this week to go to PaP?
Might end up going Saturday.

I didn't either..but its only a matter of time.
Can't just slap a 4.5 inch lift on and 35s and expect to be mint
My transmission would get so hot it'd puke steaming fluid out (too broke to pay for gears)
Needed a steering upgrade (zj steering was a bandaid)
5-760x joints will help.. chromos would be ideal.
Breaking upgrade should be factored in.
In my opinion 33s to 35s is like comparing a 3 inch lift to a 6 inch lift.
One takes a lot more work

Gears are sloppy, like a 1/6-1/4 pinion turn of backlash... It's supposed to be .002"-.010".
Don't know what happened with it but I'll toss a new one in instead of rebuilding the diff or RE gearing. I'm gonna rock 33's for a while.
Aaron, $40

I'm gonna open it up and look before I do anything. I just don't want any stress, shock load, or gear deflection to grenade the R&P and me be stuck on the trail without a trailer.
