Cruiser mentioned a good one down there one time. It may be on this thread if you dig back quite a bit. Or maybe he might see this and drop us the name.

This is the one Rocket was thinking of.

Like I said.. I could be wrong. Thought a while back on here I read in a thread of someone finding a good one in the Phoenix area.
Either way.. hope you find what you're looking for fast.

You are correct, that is the only Jeep salvage yard in town.

Little perspective on one of my favorite photo spots. To take this first picture I stand where the red arrow is in the second picture. It's right on the edge of a cliff and if the wind is blowing it can be exciting looking through a camera lens.

I know you are half kidding because you know I drive to that spot, but I really am trying. Just wish I would do more. Today I walked 4 miles. My goal is to do at least 3 miles a day but some days it just doesn't happen. Then I have days where I do 5 or 6 miles. I have the day off tomorrow so I will try for 5 miles. And I will be totally honest, when it is above 90 degrees outside a lot of my walking is inside air conditioned buildings. I don't even like malls but they are a good place to get some walking in. Of course the best places are off-road expos and gun shows.

I think what is important is that it all accrues and adds up on a weekly basis. If you get busy one day you won't lose it all in a day. I think total weekly goals are easier to set and keep. But they recommend that you walk at least 1 mile a day to keep your heart in shape so you are doing real good at 3 man.

Well between eating nothing tastey anymore and walking I have already lost 16 pounds in less than a month. But honestly, I had no idea meatless meatballs and meatless burger patties could actually be good. I'm kind of hooked on them and they are healthy. Not preaching, just sharing.

Oh I know. That is great man! If you lose it too fast it is not healthy either. So 16 in a month is great!

I hear that my friend.... same here. Before my scare... I wasn't over-weight to begin with, but did lose a little bit when I completely changed my diet. Especially watching and cutting out sodium. That alone made a huge difference. between watching cholesterol, sodium, saturated fats, etc. I've found you really have to relearn how to truly eat healthy.
I think the hardest one for me outside of sodium... was cutting way back on having cheese. My screen name doesn't have "mouse" in it just for giggles. lol.
I never realised just how much sodium and cholesterol is naturally in the cheese making process for most of them.
But we're living proof that it can be done...just takes the effort.

Well the hospital said my sodium was fine (I have always watched that). But now I have cut out almost everything. I did find american cheese slices that have zero fat and zero cholesterol. One slice of that on a veggie burger patty in a bun and I am golden. I draw the line at carbs. I have to have bread, rice and noodles. Just less of them.

I don't know of a good trail app but there are books and people who like to go on trail rides. Where in Phoenix do you live?

I’ve seen people use an iPad with an external GPS adapter to run maps. I haven’t gotten there yet, but this is what I’m going to do when I get to it.

Google something like “off-roading with iPad”, you will find tons of videos and write ups.
