Oh really? Fill me in... And maybe I can point you to some amazing stuff. Personal curiosity for you? This is what my off road vehicles are for. I have three, one is the XJ Cherokee. they are tools to further my bigger interests of anthropology.

First thing... Get Google earth if you don't have it... From there I can point you to some stuff that will absolutely conflict with written history as we know it. And you can go look for yourself and confirm this if you like.

No one will believe you though... lol

Ok Please be patient with me and I will catch up with you on this.

Had to go give a diabetic dog a dose of insulin and then got a call from my daughter that her Ex... My ex son in law who has visitation rights to my Grandchildren, just moved out from his second wife. So now we are trying to figure out where she stands depending on where he moves into as far as visitation rights are concerned.

Kids... I wish they would just grow up and quit this crap...

Off to bed... Catch you in the morning after we figure this crap out... lol

Welp... as a divorced single guy with no kids and family members that keep to themselves, some ask if I get lonely. I prefer to call it peaceful. LOL.

That's an interesting place. 500 years ago that was a full flowing river down though there. There are several Hohokam villages and fields along that bottom. They haven't identified any Paleo-Indian sites for sure yet but have found Mammoth remains suggesting possible processing by man. But if clovis were over in the san pedro area you can bet they were here to. To find a Clovis point at ciennega would be a history changer for that preserve.

Please do share some pictures!

Just for reference in case you are not familiar with them here are some Clovis points. They are distinct because they have a notch at the base on both sides for hafting. If it has those notches it's Clovis. Keep your eyes peeled while you are there!

Well the Grandkids are fun... Their parents can be a pain sometimes. But it's all part of having a clan I guess. Lol

Cool that you found a Fedora on here! You know you have some neat stuff in your own backyard there man. The stuff to look for is paleo-indian, pre Hohokam and Pima.

Or even better... Shhhh... pre-clovis like this. The only reason more of these are not found is because we are told they don't exist in the new world so we don't even look for them. These are found here in the new world where they don't belong, or so they say...

A while back, i headed down the santa cruz river. I headed south until i had to get out and walk. I walked for miles until i came to some ancient ruins. I eplored them for hours and only found broken pottery. Didnt find any clovis points or anything. There were a bunch of old brittle bones too, but im not sure what they were from

The Clovis and pre-Clovis stuff will be higher up on the flat benches above the actual channel cut. They would be on areas which still remain from before the river channel was cut, or where it had taken a different previous course through the valley in much earlier times. What you found was more than likely a later cultural site. But these need to be documented too!

You may have come across something that has not been studied yet! Get pictures if you can and if you think you found something important don't pick it up until you get pics of it "in situ". Meaning where and how it is laying as is before disturbing it. And try to also get a couple of it and some background features like rocks, mountains etc. This way proof of where and how it was found is documented.

So many forget to do this and then when they share where it was found the skeptics call BS. But with documentation it is hard to argue against the find. There have been some incredible finds over the years but they were disregarded because they lacked this documentation. If just one or two of these very special finds had been documented these would have changed history as we know it.

And most of these were found by just normal people out for a stroll.

They were up on the side of the river bank. I probably couldnt find them again. It was a fluke, and i was just out there exploring for the day. There werent any signs of recent humans, no vehicle tracks, no foot prints, and no trash or bottles of any kind. One of these days i will head back down there. Just not any time soon that is

Those flukes are the best kind of finds. I have been fortunate enough to find a few of those myself.
