Ok I have no idea where to put my question but here it goes I have an opportunity to get a 96 xj with a 4.5 inch lift manual trans for 500 bucks has a blown head.. buddy will fix for 200..its the two doo this is all I know about it I'm a little iffy on it just sounds to good to be true. Any advice is greatly appreciated
If you have a spare head or know anyone with a spare head put it on there and do a compression test. If it's more than just the head you'll know if the numbers blow low or if there's any other noise being made that need attention.

Tshiz, Danny is on the right track. it may just be a bad head gasket. only way to know is to tear into it. but if you decide to pass on this jeep shoot me a pm with your friends #. I'm always buying Jeeps to fix up.

I have used the Jeep Cherokee Forum many times over the years for advice and today I finally became a basic member. Looking forward to meeting some of you Jeep freaks out and about in northern AZ, I also work at the mine in Bagdad and I know there are many great jeep trails in that area.
