Hey guys! New to the forum, actually new to AZ. I moved here from Oregon. Wheeled alot back home with my Exploder. Picked up a stock 88 and putting on a 4.5" lift now. Anyone on the West side?
Looking to maybe get into a club. I have friends and family here but no one wheels, but my wife. Want to learn the trails.
Been the back way to Crown King last fall, lots of fun. Also did the Castle Hot Springs loop in my F150 just to get out of the house, nice little run for a DD.
PS. I'm building my Heep to be trail purpose but streetable

I don't know what you mean by this but az Cherokee club does no such thing. They are active and have get togethers pretty regular as well as meet and greets and runs. There is no dictation. I am too far south to participate in a lot of it but I make what I can. A question was asked about clubs in the area to wheel with and I posted an answer. All the ppl there I have met have been great ppl. But if its not for you that's fine. I am president of a club down here and I am on jeep, Cherokee, naxja, wrangler, and cherokee club forums. And can enjoy and take away what works for me on each. So keep enjoying your wheeling with whomever you find that fits your style it needs. And see ya on a trail someday maybe.

By the way I have never been or found a group or club that dictate when and where you go 4x4ing. The only thing that a good club will in fact dictate is to abide by the laws of your state and local area and to tread lightly to help to keep areas open to the masses. If that kind of structure is what you don't like I am sorry. I for one like the amount of trails open to us in the state of AZ and go to as many land issue meeting to keep up on possibly closures. Ppl are alway trying to shut places down due to that one person not caring about whether its legal or just plain ripping up the land to have fun. Not saying that is what you do or the type person you are but they are out there and don't care about the issues or who they hurt as long as they can get drunk and tear up some dirt and not be responsible.
