By the way I have never been or found a group or club that dictate when and where you go 4x4ing. The only thing that a good club will in fact dictate is to abide by the laws of your state and local area and to tread lightly to help to keep areas open to the masses. If that kind of structure is what you don't like I am sorry. I for one like the amount of trails open to us in the state of AZ and go to as many land issue meeting to keep up on possibly closures. Ppl are alway trying to shut places down due to that one person not caring about whether its legal or just plain ripping up the land to have fun. Not saying that is what you do or the type person you are but they are out there and don't care about the issues or who they hurt as long as they can get drunk and tear up some dirt and not be responsible.

No I'm not that person what so ever I try to protect our as much as I can also. Just putting it out there I have had clubs dictate where and when you could go out or if I went out without posting about it I caught nothing but crap for it that's what I'm talking about. Look I'm not trying to bash any clubs everyone on here is a grown up all I'm saying is be carfull that's all before you start paying club fees really look into what kind of club your getting into that's all
So the main thing is be responsible and think and one would do well and enjoy being outdoors.

Clubs are not for everyone. I would say find a couple and check them out most like to have you make a few runs with them and a meeting or two see if you fit with them and them with you. The plus side is you find and make more wheeling buddies and friends.
