My other option is the redheaded box, I'm not playing the parts store reman game. Also got smogged and tabs in person for 2016, DON'T do online renewal. I got facked out of tabs for 2015, my renewal went thru but the reg card never got to me. Tried 3 different times, stupid website errors.
What are you running for caster?

I need to slap the angle finder on it to actually know but I was running stock lower arms adjusted all the way back(minimum caster, didn't notice they were adjustable.) stock uppers and ~3" lift. Now I'm running adjustable arms around .75" longer than stock. I'm too lazy right now to do the math on how much caster that would add.

Its at my storage or I'd measure it.

After a little googling I found what I needed. Did an alignment and put my caster at *6 and put 30 pounds in my tires and she's driving better than ever with no stabilizer!!

Jeep just had a fritz attack on the way to work. Radio and light flickered then the jeep DIED. Gonna have to throw the battery on the tester again -_- I just replaced the battery and alternator a couple weeks ago too so I and absolutely stumped at this point and am refusing to take her to a shop and pay big bucks for them to figure it out. Tired of that route. So I'm going to do more research in the morning and try to figure it out on my weekend.

Also what's your Guys opinion on rebuild vs buying a new engine? Plz lease thought and comments as well as any other info.

I vote LS swap!

If it just died I'd say it's the CPS or Ignition coil

Did it die cold, no power to anything or did everything flicker and the motor shut off but power was still available to the lights and radio.

Follow the symptoms for sure, if it went totally dead I would say charging system something or other. Could be as simple as battery cables/connections. Engine runability shouldn't affect the radio or lights so if it was stone dead it may not be an engine issue.

If it flickered but didn't kill all power and the motor shut off then you should be looking towards the systems that keep the engine happy when running(CPS, coil, fuel pump and such).

I was driving down Flamingo and then all of the sudden my radio and lights started flickering and then everything died. And I had HORRIBLE acceleration when I came away from a light and that's when I knew it was about to die again.

Is it still dead or is this intermittent? Total failure is always easier to diagnose.

I would suspect something in the charging circuit or maybe the ignition switch. Make sure the battery has proper voltage as it sits go from there. If the battery is up then you can check the switch itself.

When is your weekend? I may be able to lend a hand depending on when you are off and where you are in town.

My weekend is now till Wednesday night. Got the battery off and threw it on the charger for a test. I'll check up on it in a bit.

Update~Battery is charging and I took the opportunity to clean the engine bay some and the rest of the jeep. Just a water wash. Nothing serious till it's warmer out.

Just ordered some brown dog mounts and a trans mount to get the XJ sitting better. Way too much empty space in the mounts I have now.

What did you guys do for the trans mount? The quadratec mobile site didn't show engine size so I accidentally ordered one for a 2.5L.
