The d44 would be a rear axle
You definitely have a d30 in the front
But your rear is either a d35 or a Chrysler 8.25

I've got a new project so the old one has to go if the price is right. This is The_ochos' old XJ that I mildly offroaded and changed a few things/cleaned up. If you have any questions or anything pm or text me. I will take a dirt bike / motorcycle in trade too.

230K miles on the body, 4.0 straight 6, ax15 5 speed transmission and np231 transfer case. has about 4 inches of lift and is on 35" Goodyear wrangler ATs. It is on american eagle aluminum wheels. I have a full size spare bfg and rim included. very well maintained, runs great, passes smog with no problems and the ac works. New thermostat and radiator hoses upper n lower, heres a list of parts

front axle- Dana 30 non disco just built with less than 5K miles on it, new 4.10 gears, new carrier, new spartan locker, new seals and bearings, new alloy usa outer seals, new ball joints, new rotors, new brake pads. late model axle shafts with new 5-760x joints, spare set of shafts come with it too

Rear axle- 1998 Ford 8.8 31 spline with disks. built with less than 6K miles on it. 4.10 gears, ford LSD, Balistic fab diff cover, new rotors and pads, IRO boxed truss, anti wrap perches and shock mounts. Dana 1310 joint to flange adapter.

Drive train- 4.0 I6 runs strong and passes smog like a champ every year for me, pretty much stock with the OFA removed and runs toy 22re oil filter, cone air filter to make room for the huge PS cooler for hydro assist, new water pump and thermostat this season, flomaster cat back, no leaks anywhere, and Brown Dog poly motor mounts.

Transmission is an ax15 5spd. clutch has about 8K miles on it and the fluid was changed 6K miles ago. the clutch master is new, along with the advanced adapters braided steel clutch line.

Tcase, np231J tore down and rebuild 6K miles ago with new SYE and fluid. Uses FST shifter linkage. Drive shafts front and rear are both jeep chrokee front shafts using 1310 joints at the axles and CV joints at the tcase.

Suspension. Front- 4" progressive coils, extended bump stops, IRO double sheer track bar, Rusty's fixed lowers, stocker uppers, 11" travel white body shocks, 1.25" Dom steering with 1 ton tie rod ends

Rear- 3.5" Ribicon express leaves, FST prototype low profile shackle relocation boxes, Chevy lowering shackles, 11" white body shocks.

An Avital remote start has been installed and a new Delta Headlight conversion with rewired beefy wiring harness and relays. Fuel tank relocation. Nates4x4 Rear bumper, removable doors, seafs from a saturn ion have been swapped in but a little rough. led rock lights all the way around led brake and reverse lights in metal housings. the list is long on the little things. Currently it has no stereo either.

$2900 firm obo. Like I said I will also take trades of dirt bikes or motorcycle. Price is for Cherokee forum members n friends.

So I think it's my rear drums giving me an issue, before I buy drums, shoes, rebuild kit.

How much does a rear ZJ disk conversion cost?

Does anyone know if our wiring has connections for things we wouldn't have like servo for cruise control just lying loose in that area or is it my xj is missing that plus cruise control buttons switched out on the steering wheel.
