So I think I need a brake job as well. For some reason I was driving to work this morning and was getting a HORRIBLE grinding noise. It was loud and totally metal on metal. I'm thinking my front right caliper is starting to seize. I'd like to do a rear disk conversion too

Lets just say I have to start slowing down much earlier than most people
Would you guys say these have enough meat? Also does the rotor look like it has a weird wear ring? I can't tell if my caliper is staring to seize.
I might end up replacing everything. Caliper, pads and rotors to see if it's something with the caliper. Anyone recommend a good upgrade?

How does the knuckle look where the pads rest? Is there a big groove or not?
Could just be rotors too thin and pads getting low...
Easy way to check for stuck /sticking slide or piston is to actually stick a screw driver/pry bar in between inner pad or in between fins on rotor and push towards piston, if it gives even a decent amount of tension something is binding.
