I've been wondering... would a bad or worn clock spring cause the steering wheel not to lock after turning off the ignition. It locks when I turn it a lil over a half turn. Also my airbag light comes on when I first turn it on. But goes away, is that normal? Or another clock spring thing...

Ebay, but get one with metal inserts in the tubes. Or convert to open style. I spent 80 bucks converting cuz mine was leaking there and at the valve, but that was buying all new parts from az

Yeah, I was gonna do that, but then I stopped overheating and subsequently stopped caring. I should probably do that... Do you have a parts list handy?

I searched key word idle and there are just too many results, so here is my problem.

I replaced the fuel injectors on my 1999 I6 yesterday with 784's. I drove around yesterday for 30 minutes or so no problem. Took the XJ to get tires and rims this morning. No problems. Drive home, smell gas, get home, open hood, see 3rd injector from front is leaking at fuel rail. I took that injector off and noticed I crushed the o ring during install. No big deal, replace o ring and put it back together. No more leaks. I drove around the hood for a few with no problems. When I got home the engine started running very rough at idle. Almost wants to stall. Rev up engine, no problems, just a very rough idle. Removed the injectors to check all o rings and no problems. I did notice that the cylinder closest to the fire wall at the manifold where the injector goes in looked very rusted around the orifice. The other injector holes in the manifold looked silver with some black residue. I used a vacuum and cleaned all of the manifold injector holes and re installed the injectors. Same problem after about 10 minutes of idle.

BTW, I reset the computer each time I removed the injectors. I also cleaned the TB over the weekend.

Thanks for and help on this.

No, I just did a search and found out what the iac is. I will clean it tomorrow and see how that goes.

Cleaned the iac, it was not dirty at all. Checked all the vacuum lines I could find, they seem ok. Here is a pic of one of the spark plugs and they all look this way. Running too rich. I may have to put the factory injectors back in.
