It should look like metal spacers almost between the bottom of your xj and the actual cross member, I have a 3in full leafs and a lil budget boost so I'm like 5in over stock and I vibe pretty good

Ok so a couple months ago I hit a curb with the right rear tire going about 30 mph (stupid round about) and now when I put on the breaks I can hear a clicking coming from the right rear side. I need to replace all of my breaks anyways and was wondering what else I have to replace on that side?

While its on topic. What cross member is needed for the drop? I tried taking 3 different ones off at the JY an AX-5 4x4 an AX-15, 4x4 and 2x4 all of them were the same as one from a AW4 4x4...

This is a 3 month old idler with maybe 200 miles on it:

And Gatorback of the same age:

I am pretty sure it's the power steering pulley that's misaligned, but its seem like if I bring it forward to get it off the back of the idler it will be misaligned in relation to the water pump. My question is; Should belt be riding at the rear of the water pump pulley or the front?

I remember thinking that maybe the drop is in the mount (part with rubber) but all were pretty well worn and dirty and couldn't really tell. I didn't pull those though.
I'd like to known because it would be nice to do this upgrade. I wanted it to work.

Did you line up the belt as it was being tightened? Gotta rule out user error...

But I know what I seen.
