x2 on that. The one I got was from O'reillys (auto zone and advanced didnt carry it) and it was called a 3M eraser wheel. Was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. You can look in my pics if you want a before/after pic. And mine was about half super glue from the PO...

No O'Reilly's out here, but I'm sure someone carries it. Or can special order it. Or you can order it online.

Any parks auto supply carries the wheel. And most advanced around here carry it. Long shot but try wal-mart

Like I said, that's what I used. It's probably gonna take you a while, but it works.

EDIT: That was my '01. My '88 MJ lost a few of those pieces on the trail, and there's no residue.

No, I tried that on mine along with a razor blade. Half gallon of goo gone and plenty of chipped paint later I still wasn't done. But mine is also 23 year old glue

Its worth a try without it definitely.. Mine was a special case, the PO used everything besides double sided tape to put the trim back on. They also used quite a but of super glue for some reason.. that was fun to remove. You should be okay without it, definitely worth a try considering the eraser wheel was 20-30 bucks when I got it.

best bet without the wheel is to use a heat gun carefully.. if it comes to the point where you NEED a razor blade to remove it.. save your paint and get the wheel.

Now I Gota question, did the doorless mod on my front two doors and everything worked fine except today none of my door controls work, not even the back, which I didn't mess with! The driver door I just taped of the wires and the passenger side I put this in... Any ideas why nothing works?

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all the doors like master switch in the driver door so if that's messed the corresponding door will be??

What year? All the wire should disconnect on the inside so you don't have to do that. I know on mine there's a green and a black wire that have to be connected. Or something just came loose in you connector.
