Your pictures are really really small, all I can see is a Renix coolant pressure bottle and I guess thats the power distribution center? Very hard to see

Red wire is a aftermarket wire either for a amp or alarm. And I can't see a peach wire.

The peach looks like it runs near the white jug

I don't mean to nit-pick, but thought I should chime in on this for the sake of clarity. Whether the electric fan runs all the time while the AC is on will depend on what year XJ he's driving, which I didn't see it listed in any of the posts. On my 01 XJ the electric fan only turns on once the AC has been running for a little while, and will only run when it is needed. From what I can gather, this is how it is supposed to work on the late-model XJs.

I seem to recall with my 96 XJ, the fan did run all the time the AC was on.

Here's a link to another "ask the question" post where the topic came up: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/ask...0/#post1593003

And here's a link to the thread I originally started in trying to diagnose the auxiliary fan "problem." https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/pow...y-issue-93189/

Hopefully this helps prevent the purchase of any unnecessary parts...

Yep - if I recall correctly in 2000 and 2001s the electric fan only comes on when the computer sees 215 or 218. Previous years did that AND whenever the AC clutch is engaged.

Default Radio Antenna

What is the stock size/diameter of a 97' Sport antenna? I want to replace my crooked worn out chrome one for a black one without replacing the entire fixture.

Not sure, but when you go to the parts store, look on the back of the packaging for a replacement antenna and it will probably tell you what it fits. They do make just replacement masts.

Sounds like the clutch plate in your transmission could burned. Check the transmission fluid and see if there are metal shavings in it. If so, your transmission needs rebuilt. But that's just one possibility. But it's what I would check first.
