Shouldn't be bad. Just remember that they're OEM style not aftermarket that's why I gave you that last advice. A good steady pull should be all you need to get unstuck. I watch too many idiots get hurt getting a running start and yanking on stuff. Have fun just have common sense and know your rigs limits.

It changes the shift points of the transmission. In comfort it feathers the clutch packs together and in power it gives you firmer higher rpm shifts.

Is there any way of telling if you have 30 or 27 spline axle shafts without taking them out?

You don't want to take them off anywany. I say, if you want a doorless Jeep, get a Wrongler.

Will a '93 steering column work in a '89? They are almost the same except for the '93 has the chrysler key lock cylinder and mine has the gm style key.
I have a new lock cylinder for mine will that fit the 93 column?

While you're at it may as well look into swapping an external slave for your ****ty internal setup:

As a previous poster said, it changes the shift points of the transmission. In comfort mode, it downshifts sooner for (theoretically) a smoother ride. In power mode it shifts at a higher RPM.

Leave it in power mode 24/7 - comfort mode will kill your gas mileage from what I've heard.

Default What does these numbers and symbols mean?

Hope this is the right place to ask questions. I'm new here.

I cleaned the side of the block of my 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and found ...
53005535 D N (the N has an arrow pointing to it at the bottom)
4.0L (with a Chrysler symbol next)
A bounch of dots (looks like a clock with one hand pointing between the 8&9).
Then... IF
12*26*88

My friend wanted to know if my inline 6 cylinder (242 cid) was any different (more horse power) than any other 6 cylinder?

Thanks!~John
