Correlation does not imply causation, but when the ratios are almost identical with a 23-year offset, at any geographic location, it's hard to refute. It works from neighborhood levels all the way up to national levels, and it works in different countries that started/finished using TEL at different times than us.

The data is out there if anyone is interested in forming their own opinion, but this really isn't the thread for it. Let's both go ahead and get back on topic.

I bought a 1993 Cherokee Sport 4.0L and it has started sputtering at idle or when i stop. it only does it when its warmed up and ready to go. The exhaust has a hole between the 2nd and 3rd O2 sensor so i think the hole is causing the engine to misfire or shut down a cylinder all together. I plan to do a compression test on the engine just incase of cracked gasket or blown gasket all together. Please help. Sorry i do not know very much more than this.

Might be o2 related. Not uncommon, but what about the rest of the ignition system- plugs/wires, cap/rotor..

Just replaced the cap and rotor. Still no help. Here is a youtube video i uploaded so anyone can hear what it is doing and possibly help. when i put my phone underneath the jeep you can really hear the problem. I marked every wire before i took them off. Not sure if they could have been put on wrong previously as it looks like a mess. But any help is great help.

Your 1993 only has a single O2 sensor eh...

Have you done a simple tuneup yet, including new spark plugs and cleaning the throttle body?

Hmm.. I still am leaning towards the o2 sensor. Does it do this under load at all? How about WOT?

When i get it out and about it doesn't sputter at all. but when i come to a stop at a stop light ect. it will sputter until i take off. I am thinking about replacing the exhaust and throwing on a cherry bomb glass pack. i am hoping that o2 sensor will no longer pick up the exhaust leak
