I'm lookin for a 2" lift and was looking at these:

add-a-leaf - http://www.jcwhitney.com/add-a-leaf-...DetailTabPanel

shocks - http://www.jcwhitney.com/nitro-9000-...98d1163y1999j1

spacers - http://www.4ws.com/2-truetwo-jeep-co...g-spacers.html

are these all I would need for the lift? if so would you recommend it?

Also, I don't know if the shocks would give the lift by themselves and I wont need the spacers? and/or if I only need front shocks if i'm getting the add-a-leaf?

advice is much appreciated!

Shocks dont give any lift at all, they just dampen the bounce of springs, yes you will need spacers and add a leaf to achieve the two inch lift.

Ok so what am I doing wrong? I've tried to replace my top rear main seal and both times have had them shave on me. The first time I only coated the seal than tonight I let it sit for about an hour in oil. Should I let it sit longer, try to lube where the seal actually sits.?The price of these things are adding up. lol

Did you make sure there are no burs? Did you get the right seal? I know those are two simple things but I have done things only to find out I missed something simple and right in front of me.

Right seal, it only shaves at the last inch an a half. When its needs man handling.

First is on occasion, I turn the engine on and I hear a very loud/high pitched whining sound from the engine, it goes away after about 30 seconds, or if I turn the engine off then back on again it usually goes away too. Is it the serpentine belt? is there an easy fix for this?

Second is, when I change into gear, any gear (park, reverse, neutral, drive), I get a very violent shake from the vehicle. Is this from the age of the transmission or is this normal? Is there anyway to decrease this?

It has the Inline 6, 4.0L. Stock trans.

Any help is appreciated

I have a similar noise at startup. The fan clutch is a thermostatic clutch and is usually in the engaged position at cold start.
If its a squealing noise. Look for a glazed belt or possibly a bearing in idler pulley.

Add-A-Leafs are not advised - especially if your rear leafs are sagging/inverted. They will work for a little while but will quickly stop being useful. Getting new full leaf packs is strongly advised.

The nitro 9000 shocks are good. I run them. No complaints.

Spacers look fine

no splicing necessary. I took the extra effort and wrapped the terminal connectors really well with electrical tape to seal up the connectors, and used dielectric grease on the terminal ends before plugging them in.

as for the installation, i ran the new wire up the sides of the radiator and along the top rad support (following the stock headlight wiring harness). The relays I attached to the passenger side fender with some self tapping screws. The connector for the new harness simply plugs into the stock connector at the passenger side headlight. The stock driver's side headlight connector will be abandoned.

Make sure you get a good ground point at each headlight. I used the lower rad support behind the bumper - sand a spot till it's shiny metal, then use self tapping screws or a bolt/nut w/ lock washer.

Here's a good writeup:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/hd...rite-up-11306/

You can see how i ran the new yellow wiring a bit in this picture:

When I turn on my hazards, my front passenger turn signal light doesn't turn on or blink inside on the dashboard. However when I turn on my right turn signal they both work.Any Ideas??
