During the process of rebuilding my beast, I've changed all the sensors and other stuff on the RENIX system.
I think it runs pretty well, all things considered. I get good gas mileage, it starts right up, and really hasn't given me a lot of problems.
But..... What if I wanted to nix the computer, throw on an older distributor with points and regular vacuum hoses and such.
What do you old timers think? I'm guessing a lot of stuff wouldn't work or would be a nightmare to get them to work.

That is correct. Going from sequential MPFI backwards in time 100 years to a carbureted configuration is not straight forward nor even REMOTELY worth it.
Hey fellas.
Got a 99 Cherokee Sport w/152,xxx miles.
My fans won't turn on at 1, 2 or 3 and ONLY comes on at the 4 setting. Doesn't matter if it's A/C, defrost, etc. The fans will only turn on at full blast. Any ideas I can start to troubleshoot for that?

I have a question that is really baffling me. I have a 1991 cherokee laredo and I can't for the life of me figure out what rear axle she has. There is nothing indicating what axle is on the old girl so I don't know how to go about figuring it out. Help! haha
Change the blower motor resistor. I recently had the same issue and I changed that out and I get all four settings perfectly now. Bout a fifteen dollar part if memory serves

Can also get a free build sheet from jeep, all you need is the VIN.
