So this connector in my rear quarter panel is shot. I cut it out to splice the wires together and just realized there are 6 wires for the male side of connector and only 5 for the female. What do I do with the extra wire?

 

Really need some help with this. Not sure what to do and running out of day light

 

What circuit is it for? The taillights harness, trailer harness, and rear speaker/dome light harnesses are all in that corner

There's 3 wires that match up by color then the others have a different color line on them

I think I have it figured out after a few trial and errors

 

My Check engine light goes on when it is warm, I have had it checked and it read no issues and then no connection.. It runs fine with no issues, just the light. I also some some blow back from my tranny when it gets warm and was told i need a tranny cooler.. Can this be one and the same?
I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. Everyone I talk to has no answers.

So i asked before.

Problem: with the headlights off, and when I hit the brakes the front blinker lights and dash lights and HVAC controls all light up.

At first i thought it may just be a funky circuit thing cause my driver side marker light, 3rd brake light were burnt out but I changed the bulbs and it's still doing it. Is there a ground by the pedals that could be messed up or something? Just started randomly.

 

Are spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributed caps and rotors the same between a 1998 4.0 and a 1999 4.0 ?

My dash lights do the same thing. I never noticed it until after I put LEDs in all the dome lights. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. But my blinkers don't come though. I'm interested as to why this happens as well

 

I,m not sure, but I think it has something to do with LED grounds, they all need separate grounds, but don't quote me on that. I would try Goggling it and see what happens.
