This is why I recommend the OEM gasket. I tried Felpro gasket and the ports didn't match up. The OEM gasket matched the ports perfectly.

Has anyone ever put a Led bar inside the grill of an XJ or modified the grill to hold an LED bar?

I don't have the extra money for a bumper to mount it on and think they would look sweet cut out inside the grill. A small one of course....

Mount it to your current bumper.. With how close everything is to the inside of the grill it'd be sticking out anyway.. And then you have a cut up grill..

I don't have experience with the led bars. Do they rotate to any angle for different mounting options? They look like I could bolt one to the stock bumper but not sure.

I'm only looking for a 20-30" bar for added visibilty.

All that I've seen (mine included) have a stud on each end to allow for different mounting options and 360° rotation. I recommend using a cradle mount, as my 'foot' style mounts broke in less than 24 hours

Can also just get tabs welded to the factory bumper. But if you're looking for a 20-30" bar should be able to just bolt it on depending on the brackets

I think I already know the answer to this but, is there any way to reduce or eliminate the lifter knocking noise without tearing the whole thing apart? Its a 4.0L

Sometimes lifters can be sticky. Some folks like Marvel Mystery Oil. Apparently it works for some people, but indeed it is a Mystery. Walmart in Ontario has it so Manitoba might too.

Sometimes changing brands of oil helps. Each one has a different formulation.

You sure its lifter noise and not something else like a pulley or flex plate bolts? Knocking is not typically a word associated with those parts.

I got mine from Rigid for about $30. I'm told sizes are mostly standard

Full width axle question. I'll try asking here with more views

Am I missing something here? I thought Ford D60 fronts usually sell for more than this by themselves. Considering for my YJ

The only downside I see (based on the Full Width axle crash course I've been on) is that the Sterling could be a semi-float if it came from an F250 that year. I'm waiting to hear what the bolt pattern is cause that's the only way I know to differentiate between full float vs semi float Sterling 10.25

Yea its the lifters, it sounds like a diesel motor lol it also varies with the temperature. I tried Quaker state 10w30, Shell 10w30, Co op brand 10w30 synthetic, it doesn't seem to make a difference. She's at 270 000km so its understandable for it to knock a bit I guess.

Have you considered trying a good oil? Also it's winter man, what are you doing running 10w30 in Manitoba in January?
