Also you'll want to verify the internal diameter to clear the disc brakes. Most KJs I see around here are 16" rims, so a 15" might not get around the caliper.

I need a new, full set of tires for my 1990 Cherokee Base Model, 4WD manual. I need them as cheap as humanly possible and I need them with raised white lettering. (Blackwalls wouldn't cut it on my beat-up Cherokee.)
I searched here on the Forum for "Tires" but got so many hits it was pointless searching through them. Is there a specific thread where people discuss replacement rubber? Or should I start a new thread in the TECH section? Or in a different place?
I'm not off-roading (I use the Jeep for my business, delivering antique furniture for my store) so I just need good, solid Freeway tires that run smooth and, most of all, QUIETLY. I have a set of old Pep Boy FUTURA tires on there now and they've been okay but I have no idea how they match up to what else comparable is out there. (The FUTURAS were on the Jeep when I got it.)
Also, the tire size dedicated for my Cherokee is (according to Tire Rack) 205/75/15 but the Futuras on there now are 215/75/15. Anything wrong with that? Is there an even better size I should be buying while keeping the same wheels? (And obviously, I need nothing above an R for speed rating...)
Thanks in advance.

For what it's worth, I personally stick to Firestone when I buy new tires. I just put Firestone Destination LE2 tires on my girlfriend's Dodge Journey. They're smooth, quiet, they have great reviews, and she loves them. Just make sure you're looking at LE2 (not LE) if you are interested. The first LE series wasn't very good.

Thanks, Clown, much appreciated. I actually was looking at those Firestone Destinations.
I like to come onto these owner forums to get real world opinions on a specific tire on a specific vehicle. When I owned an Nissan 300ZX I was about to pop for a set of Pirellis when I read on that owner site that the favorite tire among the other owners of my year ZX was the Goodyear Eagle F1. Holy, Jeez, did that tire make a huge difference in handling; it was like a new suspension. (But after having to replace 2 sets of them after 20K miles each I couldn't afford them any more. I went to a set of Falkens and the car suddenly sucked so much I lost interest in driving it.)
But for my R-rated needs on the Jeep, you're probably right that just about any tire will do... but I like leaning on someone else saying, "Loved these tires on the same model and year vehicle you're driving!"
Thanks again.

Alright guys. I'm getting a stupid good deal on some tires(metric but almost 31.5x10.5) and there is a slight problem. My XJ is stock with cut fenders on 15" rims and my Ram is stock on 20" rims. I'm torn on which one to put them on. Lol

Well... Considering it'll only fit on one rim that makes it easy haha

A cracked exhaust manifold can cause a 4.0 to run rich due to the 02 sensor getting the incorrect air reading right?
I mean I know my 02 is probably burnt out but my manifold is cracked of course.

Yes. Basically the exhaust leaks out and fresh air gets in. The PCM sees "fresh air" where it's supposed to see exhaust and believes the engine to be running lean.
