I'd either take it to a shop or grab a new one if it's a JU shaft.

I was suppose to remove it this morning. Even woke up at 330 to do it before work. Alas, couldn't find my 8mm wrench lol. So i woke up for nothing and had to drive slow to work so i didn't take the chance of wrecking pinion seal

Nah, slightly extended. Wasn't a problem with original shaft. Im gonna stop by my friends shop and remove it today and inspect. Needs to be balanced anyways so ill have a Driveline shop look at it.

Yes, with my wife. The problem is, the water is collecting in the upper corner but it dripps/travels down between the outside metal & frame & spreads out at some opening right above the top back light bolt. I have limited access because i did not remove the headliner. I really did not want to. I was thinking about taking out the liftgate hinges & resealing them again. Or maybe a leak is coming in from the drip edge? A mechanic friend of mine stated that he fixes leaks on commercial trucks sometimes from that. We only sprayed water on that quarter of the Jeep. Thanks for the input.
96' 2wd XJ: having issues running hot. Had it idling in the yard for about ten minutes the other night (battery had almost completely discharged too for some reason) and when I came back the temp gauge was reading just into the red. The only thing currently wrong with it is a failing crank sensor. Any ideas about the heat issue?

Now that the weather is getting warmer, sometimes after 10 or 20 minutes of driving my xj oil pressure will drop to 0 when stopped or idling but it will be running cool. should i use thicker oil?
