Anyone on here seen a roof rack on a Cherokee that has a sunroof? I'm thinking I could make one with the front open for the window to slide through if needed.

At idle it's from 20-40 and driving 40-60. You'll hear ppl have it at 15 at idle, every Rigs condition is different. But those ranges I stated are normal. Mines is 30 at idle and 50 at driving

Hello,

I am new to the forum, I have seen a few posts regarding this subject, but none that addressed my specific issue. I recently purchased a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport in pretty good condition, I am looking forward to hooking up my first Jeep! It has an aftermarket sunroof that just opens up manually (no motor) and it looks pretty bad, the weatherstripping is over-glued, and someone had tried to break in so it is not in the best shape. I need to replace the headliner anyways, so I was thinking about taking out the sunroof and replacing it with a new one, or maybe just filling the hole before putting my headliner back on, any suggestions? are there options for aftermarket sunroofs that are not glass? Should I fix the sunroof issue before installing my headliner, or can this be done afterwords?

Thanks for helping a newbie!

I'm looking to replace my F-150 coil springs on the front, cause as it sits it's 6" in the front because of them & I don't need all that plus it rides like a lumber wagon. I have a 4" BDS lift on it, any advise on what I can replace them with?

also a write up on water proofing an xj?

last one: i found this on craigslist...http://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/pts/2288768219.html

is everything listed for a complete lift? it seems like theres some stuff missing but i havent been able to tell...thanks
I did a writeup on extending the rear breather a while back. My tranny and front diff already had breathers that went up to the top of the firewall, yours may be the same. Don't forget the distributor breather hole.

And i'd skip that lift on CL. They guy obviously doesn't know what he's talking about since he lists torsion bars.

Not sure about non-glass sunroofs, but you should be just fine with a glass one. Get a new one and install prior to replacing the headliner

If you are not looking to replace them immediately just check out craigslist and local junk yards for a pair of lift coils on the cheap then add some spacers to match your rear, somebody is always going to want more lift.

Got to tune my wilson 5/8 wave length 1000 watt 4' antenna tuned to about a 1.6 swr on channel 1 and 40. I'm sure it could be better but I was tuning it in the driveway this morning.

I'm still waiting to hear what you other guys have done with your cb installs and don't have alternator noise issues in your XJ. I'm sure its been done. I don't really want to go the route of filters or capacitors. There has to be a better more efficient way.

I don't have one in my xj yet, soon....but in my past vehicles the only way I was able to quiet the wine was a noise filter

Reallly odd one.... I just installed my jy hatch struts from a 99 onto my 01.... a pita by the way......they felt perfect at the jy but on my 01 they feel almost as weak as my original...is the 01 hatch heavier?
