No, I meant that in some cases when you plug in the scanner, the odo can say NO BUS (at least, that's what other people who have had your issue have said). But, the procedure to check via the key is here: http://jeep-xj.info/HowtoECUcodes.htm

Hey guys I'm replacing the front to rear brake line on My 00 and while I was under there I noticed a black box with what looks to be vacuum and maybe a brake line going into it. It's pretty close to being right over the rear axle. I've never noticed it before.. Are those indeed vacuum lines? And what the hell is it lol? One of the what look to be vacuum lines is torn but there's also a hard line. Here is a pic this is a 00 xj chry 8.25 rear

I have a 98 with the 4.0 straight 6 and I just recently started losing power when using approx. 70% or more throttle but only over 3000 rpm if I keep it at a standstill it maintains power just fine at full throttle. It was doing this beforehand but just to help you guys rule a few things out I just cleaned the throttle body put a new distributor cap and rotor in as well as new plugs and wires and a fresh change of oil. You wiring to the o2 sensors has been bad since I got it about a year and a half ago they give me a constant check engine light and sensor high voltage as well as sensor heater circuit fault codes. Any body else had this problem?

I'd start by addressing the wiring harness that's causing the O2 sensor codes. Melting and chafing causing shorts is bad, a poor O2S signal can cause problems with running and a high voltage short can eventually kill the PCM.

I am trying to tap a hole in my tstat housing for my electric fan conversion. I have the 1/2" hole drilled, but I cannot get my make shift tap to work. Its M14x1.5. I used a makeshift tap (bolt with grooves cut) since I am tapping soft aluminum. What is the trick here?

Do you have enough room to tap the bolt with a hammer just to get it started? If not I'd suggest to just get a tap n die set from harbor freight. Cheap and functional and I've used it countless times for working on the jeep or when I've needed to drill out rusted bolts

American Racing 23s or Spidertrax spacers + stock Turbine alloys?
No idea if Spidertrax are reputable though
