Look for damage...

Square bolt. Picture?

A regular ole open end wrench will remove a square head bolt.

I'm having a problem with my 1991 XJ's ABS pump. I just had it replaced on warranty and nearly 6 months later it's acting up. The pump works fine as long as it is not cold outside. If it's cold outside(First thing in the morning) I have to go under the hood and bump it with my hand to get it to start pumping up pressure. I don't quite understand it. Anyone else have this problem?

My details:

1991 XJ Laredo
4.0 L
4x4
ABS

I didn't have problems with mine but I tore it all out and put I'm a dual diaphragm booster and a master cylinder from non-abs xj.

I think it would be worth your time the stock setup is kind of flawed and crappy. I know I was able to lock my brakes up with it. Lol

I plan on removing anything abs from my 93. The abs in my zj hasn't failed me yet.

Well I think I remember reading something about a recall on the Bendix abs system or at least that if a part of it fails than you have no brakes.

That was enough for me to rip it out, plus upgrade at the same time. All together the system was about 60 lbs of scrap metal taken out of there and resulted in a lot stronger, more responsive brakes.

Exactly, I'm replacing both axles, putting in disc brakes, and a v8 zj booster. Dont need any of that crap.

They're baja specials from AutoZone. Anyways, I think reverse lights are NSS because I also had trouble starting yesterday (no starter click or anything) until I wiggled the shifter. What do you all think?
Rebuild the NSS.

Need to grease the slip yoke on my 97 Cherokee Xj. What is the BEST and LONGEST lasting grease, or stuff to use. Ill also be changing the ujoints while im at it, but I want to do this once, and not have to pull it again, due to the rear end clunk I get from a start off .

hey guys I was just wondering if you could help me decide on which rims to get for my xj. I plan on getting the rubicon express 3.5 lift with 31s. I really like the 16x8 moabs but they seem hard to find in a package deal in good shape. heres my xj.

Do you really want 16s ? There's always other stock jeep wheels like the 16" icons

Also canyons look good I can't remember if those are 15 or 16 though

You won't fine one. Good greases protect and perform very well under heat. The slip yoke dries out and gets contaminated with sand. No way around that.

Greasing the slip yoke is not that hard
