actually i was wrong. I apologize i'm not used to talking about the semi-float d35 since this is an XJ forum, but anyways....
there are 2 seals, one on each side of the bearing. To replace the outer, the bearing needs to be removed. The inner can be done without removing the bearing. If your mechanic said he replaced the seal without removing the bearing, he must have replaced only the inner axle seal on that side.

I have searched and googled this to no avail: In the rear (and apparently on the driver's side) there is a squeak whenever i go over a bump in the road. What could this be, and is it a "repair" or a "replace" fix?

K so mechanic said the clunk/creaking from when I release brake after shifting into reveres or drive is the shocks, stabilizers, and stabilizer bushings. I'm all stock no lift. Any opinions of wat I should replace them with on a 99 GRAND Cherokee.

I have the uniden 538w cb radio which has a built in swr meter. There is no control switch to test swr. Can I tune my antenna with it or should I get a secondary external swr meter to the antenna??

Just get an antenna for the frequency's your going to be on. Also make sure all your connectors are good along with your cable and you should be fine.

i run 55/65 bulbs in my conversion right now. It was good for a while, but a few months ago i started having issues with them flashing and overloading the switch. I bought the eautoworks h4 upgrade harness and no problems since, and my lights are WAY brighter. I strongly suggest you do the same. Best $25 i ever spent.
I was wondering if anyone knows if a small leak in the exhaust manifold would throw a p0138 code? (heated o2 sensor bank 2) That is the one after the cat I believe. I know something is not quite right because I only get 15mpg out of my stock 96 Cherokee country 4.0.
I have been reading a lot of posts and I am getting mixed info on replacing the o2 sensors. Just looking for some thoughts. I am used to working on pre obd2 rigs. Thanks.

before you go replacing the sensors, check the heater circuit fuse.

check the other fuses also while you're in there
