Well... I got a right angle adapter for my Dremel and a pointed aluminum oxide grinder bit and ground the extractor away. I guess I'll slowly drill through the rest of the bolt and re-tap treads into it.

Correct. You can also look and see which plug is lower (drain is always lower)

remember to try and take the fill plug out first in case you can't get them off

also, i don't know if you know (i found out the hard way), but you need to use GL-4 gear lube in the ax-15, not GL-5 due to the brass syncros in the transmission.
I use AMSOIL MTL 75w-90 gear lube. Another popular option is Redline MT-90 lube.

distributor cap and rotor. It's what fires the spark plugs.

Default Rear brakes still locking up

Still need advice. 2000 XJ (cherokee sport w/ 9" rear drums, non abs system). I recently replaced front pads and rear wheel cylinders, rear brake hardware and rear shoes. Thanks to this site, everything is correctly installed, working, and rears were adjusted. Replaced brake fluid; bled everything. Rears are locking up if I make a hard stop, even from slow speeds. What is going on?

Some searching here did not yield results, and searching the net shows everything from the brake systems are poorly designed, to that's the way they work, to replace proportioning valve. It wasn't doing this before the brake job, but the old rear shoes were soaked in brake fluid from the leaking wheel cylinders, so probably weren't working well. One suggestion early was to make sure that the surfaces the front pad tabs ride on are clean and lubed. They are.

I got quite the look from the woman in front of me in traffic last night when I locked up in stop and go traffic. Please help.

Default Cowl Drain location

Anybody have advice/pictures to help me find these?

Default Major battery drain.

Something keeps draining my battery. I put the drain sensor on the terminal and it shows that there is an amp drain. Took out the alternator thinking it was it, but it wasn't. Im thinking that it is the ignition switch or just old wiring gone bad. When I take out the fuse to power the stereo the sensor dims but still shows a power drain. It has to be something major because it is a brand new battery, autozone recharged it and I put it back in, only hours later the battery was dead again and a jump start worked only for about 10 minutes until it shut off again. Any suggestions?

If it's draining with the car off, it has to be something that runs off "unswitched" power, meaning something you can turn on and off without the key being in the ignition (eg. headlights, radio clock, horn, taillights, emergency flashers, etc).

start pulling fuses until the drain disappears. That will pinpoint the culprit more definitively.

Do you have the abs? If so I'd just replace it with the wj booster and master. It takes a little fabrication, but if you have a grinder and a flare kit, it's easy.
