Yep, the Up Country package consists of:

1" lift vs standard
Rear sway bar delete
All three skid plates
Tow hooks
Rear limited slip diff
Heavy duty cooling (Not sure if it was yourself or another user, but you might remember a thread where we couldn't figure out that that actually means in terms of the different radiator P/Ns)
Aux transmission cooler
Full size spare
HD gas shocks

From the 1997 dealer brochure:

Up Country Suspension Group, includes skid plates for the front suspension, fuel tank and transfer case; Trac-Lok rear differential; P225/75R15 Goodyear RT/S, OWL, all-terrain tires; full-size spare tire with matching wheel; tow hooks (2 front and 1 rear); maximum engine cooling; heavy-duty, gas-charged, shock absorbers; heavy-duty springs; and "Up Country" decal. The rear stabilizer bar is deleted when this group is ordered. Must have 4WD.

I figure it will help crisp up the engine response a bit. Kind of like replacing plugs & wires, and such. Tune ups If I could squeeze another mpg out, it'd be great! I looked through PO's paperwork and didn't see anything about the O2 and they don't look SHINY, but they also don't look like they've been in there for 162k.

That is true. For emphasis, though, the majority of XJs didn't have rear sways, and it wasn't even an option for Comanches or YJ Wranglers which both had rear leafs and were produced during the same time.

I do a lot of towing and I was looking into getting this cam. What else would I have to do besides replace the can to get it running right. And I plan on stroking it later, would this work alright with that.

Vehicle is 1998 4.0 aw4 4x4http://www.compperformancegroupstores.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CC&Product_Cod e=68-201-4&Category_Code=A6CAMSHE

See my 97 came with it and I can vouch, that there isn't even a indent/imprint of a rear sway bar on mine because it never had it.

Question though? What did the rear tow point look like and where? I have the upcountry package with everything. But the rear hook
