I'd say good price because it's a rare bolt-in upgrade. If you have some fab skills and a welder, you can do an 8.8 with disc brakes cheaper.

Did you read the instructions? My aussie which is essentially the same as yours doesnt require special fluid, just the normal 75-90 gear oil. For heavy duty use and for towing they recommend 75-140 gear oil.

I did, it didn't recommend any specific type of oil.. Thanks

Lol my tires are just fine (lowered to around 32 but they look flat gonna go up to around 40) lol it was more comfy though

Looking through my 2000 FSM I don't see quite what you're talking about. Maybe it's a language thing - what does the 'injector pilot' do? Do you mean the high pressure injection pump? Possibly the sensor on the first injector used for pump timing (injector needle movement)?

I found this if it helps:

FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
Peak Injection Pressure/Fuel Injection Pump Operating Pressure: 40,000–45,000 kPa (5801– 6526 psi).
Opening Pressure of Fuel Injector: 16,500–17,300 kPa (2393–2509 psi).

Did any xj's with stock dana 44's in the rear have high pinion versions of this axle or were they all low pinion?

Ugh this thing is starting to show her age. Having a slight rough idle when in Drive. When in Park or Neutral its fine. Suspect the cps? 2000 xj 4.0 auto 203,xxx miles

Was that towards me?

I'm going to get to it Friday. When I do an oil change.

Do I need throttle body/carb cleaner? Or will brake cleaner work ?
