Does anyone know of a steering box brace or frame patch? My frame is cracked in 3 different places right by the gearbox I got it welded but I know I only put a band-aid on something that needs stitches

Google "xj Cherokee steering box brace" for several options.

It shouldnt. I dont think it has anything to do with the MAT, but you found resistance in it and cleaning it may help the resistanct in the nss. As for you MAT you should follow the wires.

I'm not worried so much by the resistance in the NSS wires as I am by the fact that they have continuity with the MAT sensor.

Ahh I didnt catch that they were getting readings together. I thought you meant you had 2 seperate issues with the sensors. Hmm....im not sure why youd get continuity between them. Do you have a wiring diagram? Does it show any of the wires using same grounds or being together?

Previous woner had 33/12.5/15 on stock wheels on my xj with a 2" lift on the front, no lift rear with lots of trimming.
I found a set of 33" mickey thompson baja claws and 15x10 chrome rims and was wondering if theyd fit.
My only problem when i had the 33"s before were they rear tires would rub the inner sidewall on the unibody when flexing off road. Well i wont be going wheeling for awhile in this jeep so i was wondering if theyd fit. Mainly because the factory rims were like 7 wide the new ones are 10 wide.

All the pins in that connector have continuity (with varying resistances) with both pins of the MAT connector. Both MAT pins also have continuity with ground. I feel like I must be doing something wrong cause this doesn't make sense.

See above. Appear to have different grounds.

Ok so I picked up a used dana 44 last fall and I'm staring to look into getting it regeared and ready to be put in the cherokee. Right now it has welded spiders and 3.73 gears I think. I want to regear it to 4.56s and possibly a locker. Since its welded right now would I need to get a whole new carrier even it i did say a Aussie or spartan locker? Also where is the best place to pick up new gears and master install kits from?

Probably need another engine soon so I'm wondering what year of 4.0 will fit in my 1998 Cherokee. It's OBII so of course 96 and up and I don't want the 0331 so 96-99 but are those direct plug and play with my wiring harness and such? Also what about motors from wranglers 97-06?

You'll need the frame horns for the 4.0 (what the engine mounts bolt to), wiring harness, radiator and front plate (4.0 radiator sits much closer to the grill, 2.5 radiator might work, but not in its stock position. Not enough room), as said before you'll need the tranny, transfercase (unless you want to change the one you have to a 23 spline), and both driveshafts as well if you're changing from manual to auto.
