What might cause VERY SLIGHT vibrations (kind of like ...a bzzzz ...through the frame), but ONLY during acceleration. (I.e., there's no vibe during regular driving, but it comes on just a little past a slight acceleration: if I jump on it, for sure it starts ...but even then, at it's worst, its VERY slight, more like a bzz'ing, and mostly just slightly annoying). It's not really through the steering wheel; it's more like the dash just rattles more.
(If it wasn't happening ONLY during acceleration, I wouldn't be curious about it: dashes on old vehicles rattle LOL.)
Could it be the motor mounts? Or ...hmm ...I did not replace other front bushings, and noticed the sway bar bushing were pretty thrashed (they're actually already on my to-do list, along with LCA and UCA bushings: I just decided to heck with it ...at 150K, with what's already been done, might as well renew the rest of the bushings too).
I changed out my suspension a few weeks ago now, including leafs-coils-springs-shocks & rear bushings (the old stuff had 150K), and I've finally put a couple of hundred miles on it.
The vibe's have started since the replacement.
The older suspension was so worn out, the bzz'ing may have been there, it just wasn't being transmitted.
Added: Oops. I pieced the suspension parts together. Moog coils, Crown HD leafs, JK shocks, ES poly bushings (only on the rear leafs front & rear, not shackle). I ended up with a 1.75 inch lift in the rear, 1 inch in the front (already have .75 spacers for front; not installed, waiting for other front bushings).

All plugs removed
Hold throttle fully open.
Put a charger on the battery.
Pull fuel pump fuse or disconnect fuel pump
So replacing my oil sending unit on my 1990 xj 4.0L and while I'm at it I want to rule out the sending unit elbow as a possible culprit for oil leak. What do I use on the threads of the elbow to insure no more leaks?
