Hey, thanks for the reply!! It helps alot, i have 15x8 pro comp d-windows with 3.75 of back spacing, would you recc wheel spacers if i run the 33's, i have stock control arms, also, would it look hoaky if i stuck with 31's?? As far s t-case drop, how much should i go, an inch? Im not near any off road parks, (ecept the cliffs insane terrain is about an hour and 20 from me) it prob wont see trail time all too often im guessing!! Again, thanks!!

 

If you listen very carefully, you can hear the Jeep asking to be shot, rolled, burned, drove off a cliff, crushed, and turned into a paper weight. Just to be put out of it's misery and hell it currently resides in. Poor Jeep...

I have a '91 XJ 4wd, 6cyl that was bought from a "Mechanic". This guy had no clue how hoakie his work was. Here is one of the few problems I have found with this XJ: When articulated, or even just slight movement of the forward axle, My front driveshaft and yolk impacts the O2 sensor. It seems that this is a terrible and possibly not stock location for the sensor. The sensor is approximatley 1" from the bottom of the downpipe out of the header, sitting on the forward or leading side of the pipe. I was wondering what the stock location is, or if anyone has any ideas of a better location for it.

get the closest ratio gear set to the ratio listed on the top row - choose the correct color based on your desires (green is closest to factory specs)

 

The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) is located on the top of the transmission bell housing. It supplies the crankshaft position information to the ECU in order to control the spark timing to the engine.

Symptoms if the CPS is bad -
- Starter cranks and cranks but engine won't start up
- Fuel gauge and voltage gauges may not work or display properly.
- You sometimes will have No Bus on the odometer after 30-60 seconds.
- A failed CPS/CKP may or may not throw a CEL trouble code.
- No spark at the spark plugs.
- Fuel pump should run and prime for 3-5 seconds.
- RPMs instantly drop to zero, even if the vehicle is still moving
- Failure while driving at normal speeds is not out of the ordinary.

The CPS can experience intermittent failure as well, that will slowly get worse as time progresses until it eventually stops working entirely.

Since you have the v6 and 5speed, i would go with 4.56 gears for the best results to turn 33s
