And like cruiser said donot let cylinder go dry at all.fill as needed.you'll be fine

 

Hey guys I've gotten a couple suggestions already but I figured I'd ask here too. Just put 33's on my xj.. What gears should i go with? It is an auto d30/Chrysler

My master brake cylinder was full of not very clear brownish brake fluid. So, I removed all the fluid and cleaned the inside of the master cylinder. That way, I had clean 'clear' brake fluid for a good flush of the system while bleeding it. I'm pretty sure the so called brake fluid that was in my system was near original and very contaminated.

 

I keep getting 4.88's.. Would that be better? This is my first endeavor into gearing

 

Hey guys! Been out of it for a while...
Have a vibration issue. Front End shaking like the palsy at around 55-65. Not DW, just a vibration. I know i could be many things. Just thought I would gather some opinions.... Good to be back.

 

Welcome back. Tires would be my first guess. Maybe some weights fell off?

I agree. I run 4.88 on 35's and on 33's your rpms will be way high.

 

Well and 89 rear ds work for a 99 with the same tc? Or are the splines different

 

Did that last week. No changes.

 

No it won't work. Different spline count.
