The only thing that bugs me about my Dad when working on stuff is that he's OCD as hell.

He's steady cleaning up my tools while I'm working on something. I'll loosen a 13mm bolt with a socket and ratchet. When I go to tighten the bolt the socket and ratchet is back in the tool box, cleaned off and shiney. lol

My tools are always better organized when he leaves than when he got there!

Gotta love him!

Dads are dads i guess. Ive started to do less stuff to the jeep with him because it often times goes smoother without him. He knows he is always welcome to help though.

I call my Dad over as much as possible when wrenching. He's a ton of help.

My dad is the opposite, takes all my stuff, leaves it wherever, breaks it, you name it. I HATE having to take care of our 4 cars

Ha, If he's missing something of his he'll look for it for 2 hours before he calls and asks if I have it.

"Yes, Dad, I told you I was going to borrow your ______ last time I was over there."

I'm fortunate enough to have a good relationship with my Dad and he lives 8 miles up the road from me.

I still live with my parents and im still in school. My dad helps as much as he can. But some stuff ill get help from experienced people. Like when i did my OTK steering. I told him he could go, but that he wouldnt know what to do with the parts.

Lucky, my dad lives in another country. lol, he taught me most of what i know, and he raises hell when i don't put his tools away. He actually knows his stuff with cars, used to have a really nice Chevy Malibu (the original ones from the 60-70's, not the POS modern ones). He ended up getting rid of it though, someone took out the front end the winter before my dad shipped off to the Coast Guard in the 70's.

My dad doesn't have interest in cars anymore.. He raced professionally when he was younger, rebuilt boat motors and all of the such and now he won't talk about cars. I understand though since he's reached his limit and has gotten tired of them but it still bugs me. I've tried getting him out in the garage when I'm fixing the jeep but to no avail

Ever since I turned about 22 we have been getting our relationship fixed. Not too bad now. Especially with conor around. But he is in texas so I don't see him often
