Default Pitman arm nut size

Does anyone know what size the retaining nut on the 2000 xj pitman arm is?
Got to get a socket today for my drop pitman arm.
Getting conflicting info from web on size.
From 1 5/16 to 33 mm to 1 1/2"
To damn cold out to crawl under until it gets 5o the shop.

It is for a fact 1-5/16".

Don't forget to pick up a puller for the pitman arm.

I broke my puller last time i removed the pitman arm. I welded it back together and it worked the second time.

Couldnt get mine off. Had to heat it and beat a tie rod separator onto it. Took forever.

You weren't using the right puller...

I tighten down the puller and whack the side of the pitman arm one good time (Not enough to screw up the gear box) and it usually just falls on the ground.

It automatically resizes in most cases.

Big enough to see and small enough to not have to scroll to see it.

Use photobucket and you want have to worry about it.

My dad and i couldnt get the 3 arms on the pulled to stay on. That said i believe the pulled was for much bigger pitman arms. He borrowed it from work and hes a manager at a Penske shop. All big trucks there.

That's just a standard 3 jaw puller and no good for pitman arms, IMO.

Yup. That one looks like it would never pop off. I was changing the box to a Durango one so heating up the old box and ruining the seals didnt matter to me.

My friend just got some of those. Cheap as hell. The plastic housing on one of the ballast was broken and the plastic connector plug's snaps broke off. Very poorly made. He returned the broken one and they sent a new one. The new one was shorting out on the frame where he mounted it. Not sure how that was happening but a blue spark was jumping from one of the screws in the ballast to the frame. He took them out.
