Thanks. Yeah its cutting off completely. I forgot to mention that when it is idling we are hearing intermittant miss and have replaced all the plugs, but still doing it. when we replaced the crankshaft position sensor none of the gauges were registering, but they are when it cuts out now, could this mean something? lol

CCV is "crank case ventilation". That elbow thing at the rear of the rocker cover is just an orifice, not a valve, so it's not "positive".

You probably know this, but the point of CCV is to vent the crank case so pressure doesn't develop under the pistons, so that oily vapors (your peanut butter jar contents) don't get deposited in a greasy, dangerous black streak down the middle of the road, and so that blow-by gasses get burnt in the engine instead of polluting. A high milage engine will leak a little exhaust through the valve guides and gunk this thing up a little faster than normal. A lot of gunk probably means too much blow-by.

everything i can find, including the parts catalog, points to all the windows being a slightly different shape pre-96 than 96+. So no, no glass is interchangeable between the older and newer body style.

Hi All I have a AX15 5 sp with the external slave cylinder that has begun to give me problems. I'm now ready to replace the thing but was UNABLE to find any info on the search bar as to the best place to buy the parts. For that matter I can't even find the part number for it at Advance, AutoZone, J.C.Whitney !!! I've used the search tool here for the last two and a half days and still can't find what I'm looking for. I know I've seen it in here somewhere before but can't find it now. Anyone have any ideas or have replaced the external slave or have a link to a write up, would be greatly appreciated.

just go to auto zone and tell them you need one. i had to replace one on my TJ and it was pretty straight forward. remove the 2 bolts mounting it to the tranny, replace with the new one and then have a buddy, girlfriend, wife ect help with bleeding it. thats about it. nice and easy with an external.

The easiest solution is to use the master from a newer WJ (grand cherokee) with minor modifications.

Here is a guide using a 2000 WJ booster on an 88 cherokee. Yours is similar if not exactly the same

http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/bra...ster/index.htm

alternatively, you can use the booster out of a 95+ XJ, and moderate to severe modifications and system work

Alright I've done alot of searching and have found alot of helpful info but nothing that has my problem really solved. I have a 1990 cherokee, 4.0, aw4, np231, dana 30, c8.25. 2inch lift in the front and 3 in the rear. This is my problem. Between the speeds of 35 to 45 I get a very bad vibration that shakes the whole vehicle and it only happens when I'm accelerating, when I let off or slip it into neutral it goes away. So far I have replaced all u joints, wheel hub assembles, tires have been balanced, new trans mount, new transfercase. I know its not my rear axle because it was happening before I did the swap with old my dana 35. Also this problem arised shortly after I replaced my trans but it shifts smoothly and has clean fluid. So I'm at a lost here, the only thing I haven't replaced yet is my motors mounts which I am doing sunday but I have little hope. So any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

sounds like death wobble. I'd check steering linkages, and the track bar. I'm willing to bet your problem lies in the steering or axle centering mechanisms.

Don't believe its death wobble, the steering wheel is steady, I have brand new tie rods, the track bar is only a year old. I aligned it as well. Still happens.
