The fronts come with the bushing, sleeves washer nuts and those black bushings that press against the body. The rears only has bushing and sleeve. The two bolts on the chasis is what holds the bar pin down. If your doing the shocks try and do BpE one time to make it easier in the future

o.k.,. at the risk of being drawn and quartered,,, i have a 2dr 98 cherokee
1 it has no motor
2 it has a great body and frame
3 it is 4wd and its all there and in good cond.
4 i have a proven 350 sbc
the question is====
can i put the 350 in this jeep without going crazy with lifts and other stuff that many guys like so they can go wheeling up 45% hills. i want to use the jeep tranny & trans case, and the rr thats in it. if i have to put heavier springs & shocks, ok....if i have to put bigger radiator, ok. but can i get a store bought adapt plate from tranny to motor and motor mounts to match? i'm 66 yr old and just want a driver that sounds great and can pass a vega at will. nothing more. simple, simple, simple. i'd clean it up nice and it would be my daily driver. maybe i drive 50 mi/week...maybe. a nice set of wheels and new tires. thats it!!! am i nucking futz or what? i could have read every thread on this site to try to find out but i thought i'd bother you guys. if its been answered 20 times please excuse my ignorance and send me off packing

thanks 100X

For an adaptor check out advancedadaptors.com, and novakadaptors.com, if anyone makes one it will be one of those. I'll find a link to a sbc swap thread real quick, and you don't have to worry about getting ate up on this forum, this ain't pirate.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/xj-thats-taking-too-long-108404/

Here is a thread about a sbc swap, he did it a bit differently than you plan to, but I'm sure it will help you out with some stuff.

Quite an abnormal request. It has been done, certainly, but it isn't an everyday question. I don't have the knowledge to help you, but welcome to the site. Your best bet may be to start a new thread in Modified Cherokee Tech.

4.6L is a bored and stroked 4.0L. It'd likely be less work than converting, but I think he said he already has an SBC.

And a 4.6 is a built motor. Your pretty much done building it once you buy all the new parts, there's no more power to be made. With sbc, you can make more power super cheap and easy.
