Cracked exhaust manifold, or other exhaust hole... ?

Possibly just the sound of the intake.

Another shot in the dark, fan clutch/mech fan noise? Do you have a zj fan clutch?

How common are 29 spline 8.25s with 3.73s? (Tow package right?)

I'll have the front to put in my 99 eventually, but I was hoping to score a rear and skip installing (and buying) gears. Plus Id be too tempted to put in a locker. Lol

Same bolt pattern. Idk about the backspacing, but good price if that's what you're looking for.

Edit: Good price for 5. Still not bad for 4. Don't know how many he has.
